Hines, Westdale, and Ivanhoe Cambridge commissioned Goldman Global Arts to produce a large-scale mural installation on their development in the Deep Ellum multi-use building, The Stack. We brought on Tristan Eaton, the international muralist known for his fine art pieces and street art.
Covering 8,500 square feet and taking 17 days to complete, the mural is an ode to Deep Ellum’s past and its future. The mural references iconic images such as legendary guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughn, blues musician Lead Belly, Texas’ first practicing black architect William Sidney Pittman, additional local and cultural allusions woven into the panorama.
